And the woman said unto the serpent,
“We may eat of the fruit of the trees
of the garden: But of the fruit of the tree
which is in the midst of the garden,
God hath said, ‘Ye shall not eat of it;
neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.'”
Genesis 3: 3
.
At the dawn of time, two ancient adversaries battled for control of Earth. One man rose to stand at humanity’s side. A soldier whose name we still remember today…
Ever since he awoke in his crashed spaceship, Angelic Special Forces Colonel Mikhail Mannuki’ili has struggled with the feeling that he has a mission to complete. Unfortunately, the accident left him with amnesia, so he can’t remember what that mission was! Now that he and Ninsianna have finally confessed their love for each other, it’s increasingly tempting to forget about the mission. After all, who cares about a planet as primitive as Earth?
She-Who-Is keeps sending Ninsianna visions of an impending apocalypse, one that can only be stopped by Mikhail. It’s a small temptation – Mikhail loves her – all he has to do is persuade the warriors to let him train them. Why should she distract him by telling him that a rival knows the location of the Temple of Ki?
Meanwhile, in the heavens, Lucifer devises a plan to use human women to instigate the dying Angelics to revolt against his immortal father. The “Sword of the Gods” saga continues in Volume III: Forbidden Fruit.
